Join Alpine Artist Collective (AAC) for a free event exploring what it means to live with wildfire, from the perspectives of both artists and scientists.Â
The evening begins with a screening of Succession, a short dance film responding to how our Colorado mountain landscapes are shaped by wildfire, followed by a discussion with scientists, land stewards, and artists about resilience and regeneration. Attendees will also be invited to participate in a hands-on creative activity to explore their own relationship with fire, loss, and renewal.
Fire Break will include gear giveaways and the chance to connect with others who care deeply about this important and all-too-relevant topic! This event is a preview of AAC’s upcoming full-length performance, Embers, on August 21-22 at Junkyard Social Club. Any proceeds from the evening support AAC’s ongoing environmental art projects and programming.
